    Hey guys

I started gathering the pieces for my 3dof build.

I bought some hall 360 deg pots, and now after reading more and more I'm confused as to weather I can mount them directly to the shaft using a flex coupler (already bought as well), or if I have to gear them. Seems like 180 is the recommended direct mount pot spec???

Already spent the money, so I'm wondering if i can use them or if i need to pick up some 180 deg ones.

    Thanks
    Peter

Awesome, that's good to hear. Already spent a lot on the hall pots....

Am I understanding correctly that I will loose a bit of resolution if I use 160-170 deg of motion?
Will this impact the motion a lot?

The simulator will be based on the 4 motor 3dof kind of like the kit from Simukit. Using my own ebay motors. (the ones referenced on the forum).

Sorry I meant to add the link for the summary covering resolution but got distracted, so here it is: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/hall-effect-potentiometer.4948/#post-48019
