Ok, hello all! New user here, decided to join this community since I think I'd like to use this community as help on my project, and also SimTools software could be very usefull.

So what I had in mind, to begin with, build a sim prototype from cardboard using arduino uno and microservos.

I have to be 30 days memeber to try to request licence for simtools (which I want to try before buy), so what other types of means I could use to get gforce signal out of, for example, assetto corsa? I'll update this thread when I get stuff done and figured.

Access to a free DIY license has a number of condition, time of membership is just one: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/request-a-free-diy-simtools-2-0-license.262/

The demo version SimTools 2 comes bundled with a fully functional Live For Speed plugin, for testing purposes, and it also works fine with the demo version of LFS, so you don't need to buy anything for testing.

So progress your build and build thread to testing and then apply of a DIY license.
