    6DOF
Hi Everyone! I have a research project going to use a 6DOF platform, which we have purchased a commercial one with SimTool comes with it. For my project, I don't need to run games. I need to give specific positions to the 6DOF platform. The positions are represented by 6 values: three translations and three rotations. My current understanding is that I need to write a game plugin so it will be loaded to to SimTools Game Engine which then can assign the values to the axes. Is this correct?

I see the tutorial on "How to write a Game Plugin for SimTools 2.0" and is the "GamePlugin.vb" the one that I need to write myself as a Plugin and have my position input in the file to control where the robot should move to?

Thank you for your help in advance! (I also posted in the new member forum, not sure if that is the place to post question, so I posted here a thread)

New member thread is just to introduce yourself.

Do you need real time control or control from a file?

And what does your robot do?

Thank you for reply! Currently we have the 3 translations and 3 rotations value in Matlab array, I can write them to a file like every 5 second or so. To 6DOF stewart platform, we hope it is real time control by reading the values from the file. The 6DOF robot would then go to the defined position from the file.
