Question 7DOF Flight Sim Considerations

    My Motion Simulator:

    All, some time back visiting the Aero general aviation exhibition in Friedrichshafen, Germany, I talked to some folks of Cirrus Aviation who had put a 7DOF simulator on display:

    I had never seen this 7th DOF before. It provides an additional yaw axis rotating the entire setup (note the wheels and the extra motors driving the go around). The guy I talked to stated that this extra yaw is very useful to improve the turning experience during taxi.
    Though I couldn't test it myself the extra effort almost seems to be over the top.
    What do you think? Anyone every flown one of these?
    PS: I do have some spare motors and gears on stock, this would definately boost the coolness factor... :cool:
