    All,

I have an opportunity to purchase a Chinese made 6DOF Platform and I would like to get input on getting this particular platforms to work with Simtools so I can do MSFS2020, DCS, Racing and other Sims. What I like about this platform is the size and weight handling capabilities. Yes, it's big but I have 30' x 30' workshop just waiting and my work shop has dedicated 230v electrical plug for platform.

This VR Entertainment business went under after being open from March 2022 to Feb 2022 so platforms are practically new with low hours and comes with many accessories.

So how easy would it be to convert this platform using some of Thanos products. The platform is called "VR Family"

This video of platform in action:

This particular platform has two Dorna M1 AC Servo driver with 3 axes per Driver. Is there any negative to having 3 axis on one driver?

The actuator on this platform are pretty beast:

    Other Platform Equipment:

VR Family Air System 1.jpg VR Family Game Control Console guts.jpg VR Family Game Control Console.jpg VR Family Network Router 1.jpg VR Family Graphic Computer 1.jpg VR Family Accessories.jpg

So what do you advise, any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if there is any other information needed and I will do my best to get info from owner.

@noorbeast, you are right Thanos is the man who will be able to telling what needs to be done. I've researched on the forum and I know in the past it was possible to utilize the electronics from this platform with Thanos products but these 3 Axis M1 AC servo driver seem like they have a different size CN pin out.

I need to let the seller know something so I'll have to do a direct contact to Thanos.

Just for anyone who come across this thread as a future reference. Thanos did respond to my info request over at his discord and this what he stated:

"Thanos — Today at 10:02 AM
@Fraza44 it has the Dorna M1 servos, that are compatible with AMC-AASD15A, with some custom wiring and parameters in the dorna servos. See instructions in the AMC-AASD15A manual and here: https://github.com/tronicgr/AMC-AASD15A-Firmware/tree/master/DornaM1_interface

Thanos — Today at 10:06 AM
The Dorna M1 is 3in1 but actually has on it three separate data connectors for its servos, and its digital with Pulse/dir, not analog signals like MDBOX had...

Thanos — Today at 10:09 AM
Yeah, that Vegafu controller has to go through... it's not needed."

I hope Thanos will not mind me posting his comments here. I will continue to post my progress with this platform here and over in the Thanos Discord for anyone who is interested.
