Tracking seems very poor, in my view worse than cardboard clones:

    Is it April 1st?

Imagine the meeting for that piece of hardware...

"Ok folks, I saw a wheel today.... I think we should re-invent it."

OMG. It's actually a head mounted mouse with a tiny 5" screen for you to view what would normally be on your TV..

Kickstarter should Kick that product. The page for it also reads in that almost bad Chinese advertising kind of way....

The time for these joke of an excuse for VR product ended. Better off getting a $20 wide FOV chinese headset and connecting your phone to your computer with VR streaming software.

I think that VR works with a 5" tft screen panel and a gyro+acc (mpu6050) mounted inside of a plastic VR case connected to a "magic box" that switch your joystick analog inputs with the gyro+acc input and send them to console or pc, and convert your console o pc video output through an lcd controller board (vs-ty2662-v1) to the 5" tft screen panel.

It's not a bad idea for a low budget VR. Probably feels the same as using VR smartphone with the plus that this works with consoles.

Honestly if this is your price point and you want to dip your toe in PC powered VR without typical Kickstarter risks then go for OSVR, at least is is upgradable, under constant development and is backed by known industry partners, basic kits start at US$199.99 and it is available to order: http://www.osvr.org/hardware/buy/

This is now off topic but reports are coming out of CES, which is on at the moment, these are just some: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/4021op/htc_vive_is_everywhere/

    https://www.reddit.com/r/virtualreality/comments/400917/htc_vive_vs_oculus_rift_at_ces_2016/

But, as consumers there is a huge amount we do not know, even after Rift pre-orders have opened: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/40339e/before_you_compare_the_vive_and_the_rift_and_make/

Interesting video, If I was only buying one it would have to be the Vive. Seems so much better. What really sold me was when they were talking about FOV my main bugbear with VR. According to them the Vive has a noticeable better field of view. Sold it to me:)
I still can't get over what Oculus are charging for shipping to Australia!!!

The FOV claim is a bit contentious and there have been conflicting reports concerning it.

I have been exceedingly active on reddit regarding the need get past the sticker price and instead seek clarification and justification for legitimate questions being asked by international customers about things like the Oculus USD $132 (AU $188.83) charge for domestic shipping in places like Australia. The DK2 was shipped via Australia Post out of Sydney and I don't expect it will be any different with the CV1 Rift.

Palmer point blank said he didn't want to discuss it at the reddit AMA, yet it is such a significant amount that the legitimate consumer calls for transparency and justification are not going to go away.

I couldn't find any videos of games being played with osvr. Is it being used/developed?

Yeah I'm not sure why you guys are being charged so much for electronics. Always seems like someone is out to screw you guys over.

About OSVR, it should have support for Steam VR eventually and in turn the Rift games as well as support for Linux/Mac, but it's a dev/hacker kit run by Razer and they have a bit of catching up to get to DK2 level of headset.

It is a dev platform in the purest sense of the word.

It can be made to work with certain games in SteamVR with a fair bit of messing around and the mileage varies for owners, it is anything but plug and play at this stage: http://www.osvr.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3516
