So i'm going to make a tachometer for Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally and was wondering if there was anyways to see if my project will work without trying the plugins. I'd like to test if my project will work first before diving in to get that 250coins for the download package or buying the 1 year thing.

I'm going to follow Jamesdio's "Arduino RevBurner driving a tachometer" tutorial.

Post your tacho project progress here and when you have it ready to test PM me and I will happily give you the coins you need.

I've gotten all the parts and wired them but instead of a tacho, I'm using a 6v servo as a placeholder or if its fast enough I will stick with it since I plan to make the tachometer myself. Also I've gotten a 122 transistor instead of the 120 from the tutorial, I've read this should be fine and will not be a problem. I've also got the power but it's not in the picture.

Unfortunately my arduino is faulty so the earliest I can progress is in around a day or 2.

Anyways, currently my goals for the dash are:
    Essentials:
    • Tachometer
    • Speedometer
    • Gauge cluster surround
    Non-essentials:
    • Solenoid speed chime (Old Toyota, AE86 style)
    • Fuel Gauge
    • Warning indicators (ABS, e-brake and etc.)
