    Hi All,

I have a problem. I have an Arduino Mega and a Raystar RC1602B LCD, and the LCD is not working. The background light is on, but nothing on the display.

Have you met this problem before?

    Many thanks!

We used two different resistant instead of the potmeter, but yeah we did the same. We got two differently contrasted line on the LCD but no characters. only just the LCD blocks at black.

Im thinking the resistance is too strong , I only get black lines when I have the contrast turned all the way up.

mm have tried simple sketch to just print data to the lcd, plus this link might help, one of the sites that I used to learn heaps about Ards.

Without seeing your wireing and code , I cant advise any further. The above works, and I have tested it too.

This is using the other software, done about 2 years ago. And sorry lost the code but easy to reproduce.
