    Hi to all.

Which is the best method to connect the pot to the engine?

    1. insert the rod of the pot directly into the back of the motor
    [IMG]

    2. using a threaded rod into the back of the motor connected to the rod of the pot via a elastic coupling

    Thanks for your help!

Using a Flex Coupler would be the EASIEST Guaranteed way to not transfer the Damaging forces a motor can induce on a pot. Elastic coupling's can actually lead to issues in itself with quick motor movements.

That would have been clearer if you linked the FAQ in your first post indeed. ;-)

It depends of your motor model! What motor have you got?

mounting the pot to the motor has been bothering me since a while. Actually none of the setup is perfect but all of them is workable

heres another idea, use a plastic cut out lever for single turn pot, granted it uses less range, but the pot will not break

I'm thinking to put the potentiometer on the back of the motor.

Yesterday i have opened my 2 wiper motor to see where i can drill to put the potentiometer but when i opened it i noticed that there is pcb rear:

take it out and leave connectors going to the brushes (if they are connected through the PCB)

you just need the two wires going to motors brushes thats all (high speed).
pcb is there for parking mode(when used on car for wipers).

    See the brushes:
go behind the PCB and solder your wires straight on them

@siantic do what @RacingMat told you.
    Untitled.png
you have only one speed as you have only two brushes
