    Hi everyone,

For my project, im exploring actuators possibilities for large motion, but maybie i dont know or search very well.
I know the diy MotionXP, Departed Reality, with long course. 500mm is around what im looking for.
But do you know any industrial or other strong actuators references with high speed and long course that could be use for motion sim ?
    Regards. Arth.

if you look at his partlist he gives a 500mm 1610 ballscrew and a 3000rpm motor so speed 500mm/sec and a 400mm stroke

Hi all, thanks a lot for all your answers !
    I'll check these references
Quick question: I understood that the speed of an actuator ccould depend on both the engine power and the diameter of the screw? I seem to have already read that, for example, much higher speeds could be achieved with leadscrew 2510 or 2025. Am I correct?
Forgive my questions i am a real newbie noob on the subject xD

The speed is calculated in rounds second times screwpitxh so a 3000 rpm motor gives 50 rp second with a 10mm pitch from screw gives 500 mm/sec and a 25mm pitch 1125mm sec.
