As I understand, making custom profiles on a car to car basis through the profile editor only changes the min/max tuning center values. Is there a way to also apply this to the axis assignments, or is there another way to easily use different axis assignment profile for different cars?

For example with GT3 cars in iRacing I want quick snappy movements with more sway and surge, but for Nascar I want much more pitch/roll to feel the effects of the banked oval tracks. I haven't found a way to accomplish this other than manually adjusting the axis assignment values.

The presets part of axis assignments is for that isn't it? I believe you have to exit the game, then load a different preset, then start the game back up.
