    Hi @Xenjay1506 ,
Only one app can connect to the rig at a time.
Please make sure the SMC3 app is not running during the test.
Next would be to make sure that the Default axis config has assigned values, as that is what the output testing uses for DOF testing.
If your still stuck, please post some settings pic's so we can help further.
    Take care,
    yobuddy

cool, i forgot that they had the setup on there. ive given it a go but it hasnt changed anything. do i need to be running a game to use the output testing or can i do that with just simtools open?

Output Testing only required a Default Profile, no game should be running.

Can you please post a picture of your corrected Interface Settings.

It does not help trouble shooting when you have multiple threads, as information and context gets spread all over the place, making it difficult for others to follow.

Just checking, have you confirmed you have the correct Com Port, as this image from one of your other threads shows SMC3 on Com Port 3, while your current SimTools Interface Settings show Com Port 4?

For info, I had the same problem and solved it by uninstalling COM port in windows control panel/system and replug the arduino USB...

Is there a way to see if the motion controller in the RIG is actually connected to simtools? Would be nice to have a "connected" information of some sort.

Or is it just when you save the interface setting that it magically connectes ? Im haveing som problem and would like an easy way to see if simtools is connected to the rig

Go to your interface settings and click the 'Test Settings' button.
    upload_2024-6-27_10-6-11.png

The interface connects when you launch a game with SimTools, saving simply saves your settings for the next run. Clicking 'Test Settings' will let you know if your current settings work or not.
    Take care,

Thanks! So if you mess around with the axis under test settings, it should move.

Would still be nice to have a green light or something

Yes, for the axis you have assigned anyway.

You will hear a 'BEEP beep' if it can not startup.
    Take care!
