change the micro ?

    another question thano!

    I use the old micro ATmel 8535 ecc , you sugest to change with at644 ecc to improve the performance of controller or is the same ?

    Hi Stefano,

    Upgrading to the ATmega644 will have some benefits:

    1. Better handling of the 22.1184Mhz crystal which mean less chance to have power-up lockups (since its native speed is 20Mhz).
    2. More immune to reset situations (electric noise)
    3. Better handling of the rest two PWM ports with real PWM signals as his timers are designed for true 6channel PWM. (not released yet to public as it needs documentation and examples)

    Overall you may not notice better performance as the processing capabilities between Atmega8535 and Atmega644 are similar. They run the same code after all!!!
