    Check out the wild moves on this Hexapod. Its an interesting design, as it does not use linear actuators at all. Heights appear to be changed by moving a pair of servos closer or farther away, around the outer ring.

    I count (at least) 6 degrees of freedom (its interesting how it accomplishes Sway and Surge), plus 360 degrees or better of Yaw (mostly restricticted by cabling issues).

    I would not like to do the math on the reverse-kinetics on this unit.

    The stole my dome idea too! Although it doesn't look like their dome rotates with the platform.

    This thread from cnczone.com states the price for their lower end hexapod at $85k, I wonder what it is these days and how much their rotopod costs?
