    2DOF, DC motor, Arduino
    Hi,

This is my first post here. I am looking at building a 2dof for flight sim. I have a background in Aviation (A&P mechanic) and I am currently a full time computer programer. I have a couple of 3d printers and love to design and build add-ons for my flight sim, using Arduinos, Teensy and MicroChips Sam devices.

I have spent the last few days crawling xsimulator reading the FAQs on getting started. It's a little overwhelming, but I would like to start out with just getting the mechanical part working.

    Will these specs work?

    2x 12V 70W DC Wiper Reversible Electric Worm Motor 35 50RPM motors
    2x ITB-2
    2x hall effect potentiometers

    Arduino Uno

    Thanks in advance.

It's a good start but the strength and speed of your motors heavily depends on your design. The FAQ has a lot of info on this. FAQ #32: DC motors shopping list (xsimulator.net)

When starting my project, I found picking motors to be the most difficult part. The specs are all over the place with how manufacturers rate them. I opted for the pgsaw motors many others have used given they were a known variable. Wiper motors are going to be significantly weaker.
