Compact 2 DOF + Loss control system

    Hello,

    After some time in sim racing i decided to start a my project.

    My idea is to build a 2 dof and traction loss system using wiper motors to move only the seat not the complete frame.

    For the main structures am using wood tables with steel an aluminium profiles as reinforcement.

    Untiil now, the structure is ready and I am doing the my first trials to control loss control movements.

    I am still waiting other components (2 IBT shield and 2 motors).

    I decided to start with a simple configuration and this is the list of components:
    - Arduino uno Rv3
    - 3x IBT2 Arduino
    - 3X 12V wiper dc motor
    - 2x psu 12V 30A

    Here you are some pictures of the current status:

    This is the first level, that will be attached to the main simulator frame. As you can see there are 2 tables, the upper table slides around +- 30 mm against the upper table creating the loss control effect. The 2DOF system will be mounted on top of this level. In fact the L shapes for the wiper motors are already included.

    and this is a detailed picture of the lever to move the system.

    I have read many threads here and it has been a good source for me. This project is not finished yet and i will find challenging issues so i would like to share any know-how to help anyone that is thinking about something similar.

    The second stage.

    Once i got all remaining parts I made the full assmebly.

    This is How loooks like the base plate with the power supply devices, the IBT2 arduino the mottors for the 2dofand the air fans for cooling.

    The first tests has shown some ineficiencies:

    1- The Motor 3 for the traction loss does not work.
    - The motor is checked and is OK.
    - The IBT 2 is checked and OK.
    - I need to check the wiring and the software (smc3). Anyone with similar characteristics and same issue?

    2- The rolling of the seat because i am using a silent block.
    3- I noticed that motors are forced during braking. Something normal due to system construction. I am creating a huge oposite force while braking.

    For points 2 and 3 i will use crossed springs to limmit these two issues.
