I am looking forward to trying this, DCS just announces Oculus 1.3 support though also notes some areas that still need improvement for VR: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2737880&postcount=6480

FYI, Not yet working on DCS World 2.0 yet. In the CV1 this is a much better experience, you can see the buttons on the dash much more clearly. Seeing at a distance is improved but it by no means replaces the resolution of a monitor. The FOV is a little limiting in the CV1 but the ability to move your head and lean forward is worth the change to an HMD over a monitor setup. I wouldnt play this sim on screens anymore.

Have you tested it on a CV1 already? Yours?

SDE for me is pretty much gone. Resolution isnt great, isnt perfect but Its playable. Tracking is dead on. Launch titles that you like are great. Waiting for Dirt Rally implementation is killing me. The unit is light and fits nice. Project cars wiht motion iS AWESOME!!! Before you really couldnt be competitive with the DK2 in my opinion...its there now. Mine was free so Im not sure if I would be mad that I paid 600$ for it....the Gen 2 will be awesome...its worth getting but temper your expectations. Its not like looking at 1080p screen. Luckeys tale and games like that look perfect. 3rd person games are awesome. FSX and P3D are much improved, DCS the same...cockpits are readable now..car and plane games both....I REALLY NEED THE TOUCH CONTROLS!!!,,,,actually almost sold my rift to get a vive for those contols...dont do it...oculus is better...GOD RAYS!...they are real, they are a pain, they go away when the correct color combinations are used.

Could you better explain that God rays thing? Is it about the Vive?

God ray is affect of glare when bright whites are presented with rich blacks in the background. There are pictures out there if you google.

It is a side effect of the lenses used and affects both the Rift and Vive, though in slightly different ways as the ridge spacing is different for both.
