dirt 3 crashed if I change extradata 0 to1

    Hi,
    I have a problem with dirt 3. If I use my sim with the dirt 2 plugin, after modification of the hardware settings my sim is workng fine. But I can´t finished each race because if I came to the finish, the game stops and and I got a picture freeze.
    When I change the hardware settings back I can drive without my sim with no problems. I have no idea about the reason.
    Any help would be very great.

    hi,
    thanks for this information. But if I put my system to the 1.1 patch I have no chance to run it together with xsim because after start of the game the system will have an upgrade. If I run the game without this upgrade the hardware setting goes back to the basic setup (dbox...extradata 0) automaticly.
    I guess after the live upgrade my system will run with the 1.2 patch again. :sos:

    Is It Steam version ? You can switch off auto update in Properties.

    Put the patch 1.1 and remove the autosave of DIRT3.
    Leave you game
    Change the hardware setting and launch your game.
    Then Play!

    Hi,
    I have gone the described way, but unfotunately my Dirt 3 version turned back the hardware setting to dbox and extradata 1 as soon as I started the game. I have no idea what was wrong. :thbd: :no:
    Probably it is the boxed version and not the steam version.

    what is the solution to run DIRT 3 without the crash at the end of race?
    I have DIRT 3 BOX with the Patch.
    if i don't patch , i have some problem with the game backup

    Yee... the only way at the moment is to keep this game without latest patch. This will keep you going but you have to set your steering wheel settings every time when you start new game.
    We are still waiting for new patch which may solve this issue.

    i try to use with any patch... :thbd:
    with any patch there are a problem with the save game.

    for the steering , just press start in the shifter.
    If you press enter there are a problem to set the steering, but if you press start it's ok

    Dirt3 works well here, no crashes and no save problems and all motion. I just have to re-do the wheel settings when I start, mind you, I am using a home made sequential shifter as well as separate wheel.

    DIRT 3 is ok with patch 1.1 and Live4speed sender plugin
    now it's ok with this config:
    plugin “live for speed” in sender.
    for motion :

    \my documents\my game\DIRT3\hardwaresettings\hardware_settings_config.xml

    I`ve change to retail version and didn`t update at all. Everything works witch this settings and x-sim software:
