    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF, DC motor, Arduino
I start this simulator for my highschool graduation project.
thanks to the great amount of information in this forum and the internet, I dare to make my own simulator of driving.

I started with the structure , I decided to make it robust because I need to load a lot of weight, but not to overdo it to avoid problems with engines. However I had problems with wiper motors, so I had to replace them with gear motors.

I had problems with the Monster Shield 2 times, guess they were defective, because the third one works perfect. Still make some tests to calibrate the simulator.

Here is the wiper motor and gear motor, the shaft is connected to a squad that is directed to the sensor (potentiometer)

Continue to report my future progress ;)

A huge amount of progress already :thumbs

it looks like your are using a CV instead of universal joint. You may need a panhard style control rod from the top seat frame running across the sim to the base on the other side to prevent torsional twist, which seems to be evident here:

The seat can be adjusted with the nut of the CV, I did some tests and do not present problems
, in case of any problem with movement, I'll follow your advice :)
    Thanks! :grin

It will be OK as long as it can't twist sideways in the direction indicated by the red arrow.

If it can rotate in that direction around the CV joint then it will need a panhard style rod to prevent that.

At the moment there is no movement from side to side in the seat. :o:
HELLO! Mariana that looks great , yeah, I also found the balance point in my simulator, the problem is that due to the weight of the structure for be very robust, the wiper motors didn't serve me, motors gear were the answer to my problems :grin

What I especially like about your sim is that the gear shift is where it should be, not mounted at the same height as the steering wheel. I play like that right now and I hate it!!! Good Job!

I agree, the first attend I did was for moving full cabin, and as result the wiper motors cannot return to the neutral position. Finally I make the motion sim for moving only the seat, and the result and realism are awesome. I will do a cabin moving sim only if it is almost for flying sim and using more powerfulls motors
