    Hi All,
After my introduction on the main intro page I just couldn't stop thinking about this project, so if I may start with some questions

I am going with arduino and monster moto with some wiper motor for the prototype

so my question I've looked on ebay and the price range is mad from around £17 up to £64 for the monster moto and from about £6 to £20 for the arduino is there any reason to stay away from the really cheap ones?

are they cheap for a reason will I buy cheap and buy twice ( I want to build this as low cost as possible for the prototype and upgrade the weak parts as I move along) but at the same time don't want to throw money away.

I will be ordering the part next week and then make a start :)

tiny bit out myself I am a welder with hobbies in visual basic, general pc repair, a tiny bit of modding to games and of course Sim racing (mainly RBR, Rfactor Rally and Assetto corsa)

thank you all in advance for any help and I will get some designs up as soon as I can

    Regards
    Dag

Hey Daguru, good luck with your project, I just finished mine with Ard-MM-Wipers too.

I got my MotoMonsters some week ago from Britain, I payed 18€ for it + shipping, but now the seller wants 43€... you're just a bit late. http://www.ebay.it/itm/Monster-Moto...nh2sp30-Completo-Ponte-Drivers-/321602153646?
As for the Arduino I bought the original Uno but I also ordered some cheap fake Chinese copy for just 5€. If they don't work, well, it's not that loss. It's just that it takes 2 months to have 'em delivered.

You don't need two PC's for sure. When coding I run the games on one screen and SimTools on the other screen and that works very smoothly.
Just for eases of handling I run a dual PC setup on my sim in the garage.
(I can fiddle with GameEngine while continuing triple screen on the game PC)

@yobuddy has done a great job with optimising the code of SimTools to make it small and quick to run smoothly on an average specification!

Why not use JRK, I know the cost a bit more but no programming :)

This would by my next project - I will shunt 4 MMs (connecting in parallel) to show if (or better so hope I that) it works. Unfortunately at this moment I am too busy but the testing will begin ASAP. @mugge66: no doubt, the jrks are great, but he ordered already and the MMs are worth the money as well ;P

Remember to check/remove ground contact from your wiper motors casing before testing with MM! :)
