DIY Sim Wheel Using a DC 895 Motor

    I am planing on building a sim wheel using a DC 895 motor. My plan was to build this on a budget, and without many tools required.

    I was planing on using this:
    A DC 895 permanent magnet motor(3000 RPM version):

    For connecting the motor to the planetary reducer I am planing on making a 3D printed part.

    The controller will probably be an Arduino Leonardo board, maybe an STM board, if there are any benefits to the STM board let me know.

    Do you think this could work, and what's a good firmware to use? I heard MMOS is good, but is no longer being maintained.

    Any suggestions how to improve this?

    Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
