New member; structural engineer with a patent on a device needing 6 DOF control. Found your sight and very interesting. Electronics only a hobby, but working with Arduino's, servos, stepper motors, etc., is something I enjoy. My patent essentially involves a small assembly going around a circular, inclined track, very fast, and the assembly performing 4 different operations on an attached rod.
Hope to learn from you all and perhaps give something back.

Not sure if you are looking for help yet, or just introducing yourself. You will find this group quite helpful, but you will need to provide a lot more information about what you are trying to do. Photos and diagrams are always helpful. Since you have an issued patent already (sometimes the hardest part!), that shouldn't be an issue. But if you are worried about putting it out there for all the public to see, you can use the PM feature here.

Ya in the right place Im just finishing off a true 6dof control for SimTools , about to hopefully begin testing , even thou I have already proved personally that it calculates the right angles and my crude app can control my RC model.
Just cleaning up code to include in a new maths plugin for SimTools V2, Sorry V1 guys.

Just trying to introduce myself and see who might be interested. I certainly have drawings and photo of the four prototypes I have built. I appreciate the words of encouragement. I will post more information later. Thanks again.
