    Hallo,

I only want to move the chair, my monitors a fixed on the wall and i´ve cuted a gap for the steering wheel in the desk.
    The PSU is a HP DPS-600PB B
The Motors are VW Golf 4 front wiper motors.

    Thank you,

yesterday i´ve made my first test run.

The sim Works but the movement is not very precise and feels very hard and rough.

Today in the evening i want to try to play a little bit with the settings.

I use the Arduiono code : 2DOF and 2 pins direction Hbridge from Racing Mat.

In the code i´ve changed the values for pot range.

My problem is now the the roughness of the Motors and i also have issues with trembeling.

How i can setup the smoothness of the motors ?

In the description of the Code something is written with like this :

3- find your pot amplifying ratio

    - increase now the gearMotorRorLPotRatio (line 17)

    - by default, it's equal to 1

    - if you increase to 1,5 : the range will be increased by 50 %

no worries, if the amplifying ratio is too high :

    - the playseat will not bump over the limits

    - but the mouvments will be fast or jittering

but i can´t find tis Line in my Code.

    Maybe im wrong with this.

Does someone have a solution for my Problem or can me say how i can setup the smothness of the motots ?

First off is the tolerance parameter set properly in the code, so the pot stops in the middle position: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/arduino-code-2dof-and-2-pins-direction-hbridge.67/

If the code is correct then you can move on to the SimTools settings. If not go back and make sure each step is followed and successful for @RacingMat's code.

Make sure the computer language is set to English Local: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-language-setting-bug-change-to-english-local.233/

Double check you SimTools Interface Settings.

Then follow these steps to create and refine a motion profile: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

Okay, i will test it. What's the reason for the English language settings?

Different language settings use different characters for deliminator, which can cause issues with SimTools. I am just trying to cover as many possible bases that could be a contributing issue, based on the limited amount of information you have given so far concerning the issue.

Hi, now I've tested some settings an its getting step-by-step a little bit better.
Now I have a little other problem.
For example : I tryed around with the surge settings, set it to 20 - 30 % and go to the SimTools Output settings an slide the surge slider to the right site. Then the Seat moves to the front an when slide the slider do the left the seat goes to the back. So should it be. The problem I have now that the motor not working sync. First the left on a little bit then the right one a little bit and than both together.
Can someone help me with this?

    Hi Guys, its me again.

Sooo, i had found a litte bit of time and ground isolated my motors, to this i have a litte question... The wires i have solderd to the Brush which is conected to the housing, where do i conect it ? I didnt conected them anywere. Is that right ?

I think the input feels a bit clearer after this step.

But i have another problem too. The movement of the motors is still very rough and the motors a very noisy. I have made a video of this.

I think that the motors are designed to work with constant 12V. When they get lower tentions from the Moto Shield they wouldn´t work fine. Could that be ???

I had same issue with tension from Monster motor shield. My wipers looked liked, when they had not enough power, but that was chinese copies from ebay.It could be more factors(low contact somewhere example). So answer to your question, yes,it is possible. But I recommend to you, check your setup again, and then you will se.

if your motors have a brush connected to the housing then that will be your common side for your motor and then you have to find the high speed cable

Hi guys, yesterday I had a little bit time and worked a bit on my Sim.

I've builded a housing for the Arduino and the MotoShield.

I also had my first realy test run. It works good, but my construction feels not very stable.
When I sit on the chair my weight pushes on the rod and they push the motors down.

Now I have to think about it and find a solution. Does anybody have the same problem and can help me with this?

If you use wiper turn this bolt until wipers will hold your weight. See in picture. I did and it helped to me.

Hi Guys, i wanted to tell you that my Sim is allmost finished.
Today i was driving many good rounds on LFS and it feels great.

I have swiched my code from the RacingMat code to the SMC3 and now it runs realy great for me.
I have to fine tune some settings i think, to get it a little bit smoother but driving is possible and very good at this time.

Now i want do build a little housing for the electric stuff, to hide the motors and the cables. I think that would be looking great.

Tomorrow i will add some Pics of my Sim

I´ve learnd a lot here in the community.
    Thank you all.

    Hi guys,
I have another little question. I want to make my Sim more stable, because when it's powered of and I sit on it my weight pushes via the rods the motors down. When power is on you can sit on it very well because the motors holding you. While driving i don't have problems.

My idea is to put 2 springs like car springs on the under the back edges of the chair.

    Do you thing that's possible?
Doses someone had a better idea to solve this problem?

I hope you understand what I mean.
