Bug F1 24 Working Now

    I was surprised and happy to see the F1 24 plugin available yesterday. I had a few problems but it is working now.

    When I installed it I got “not a valid directory” warning. I decided to try F1 22 and it worked. When I went back to home F1 24 was in the menu where I had expected F1 22 to show up. I clicked run on the F1 24 icon and it started F1 24.

    Once started the feedback was not hooked up. Fortunately there is a nice telemetry menu under the game settings. As you might expect from failed install telemetry was turned off. I referred to the F1 22 settings (this has been working for the last year) and made the same settings in F1 24. This worked and when I change the format from 2022 to 2024 it still worked.

    The physics are better most noticeably there is a much better throttle profile. I turned down the feedback setting down from 45 to 40 on my DD1. Beyond that it’s somewhat subjective. I run with all assists off. Haven’t made a judgement on the motion yet but it didn’t just piss me off like F1 22 did.

    So the final telemetry settings are as follows :
