    Hi all

I've been reading a lot here the last few days and there is a lot of information. So today i put welder to steel and started my new build.

It will be a 2DOF seat shaker on top of a Traction Loss base with base shakers for fine detail bolted to the seat and pedal deck. The Steering duties with be given to the OSW I already use and Pedals will be my Trusty HE Pro's with a DSD shifter and TH8A for H patern duties. Monitors will be 3 28 inch AOC monitors on my current static rig.

The monitors Steering wheel, Pedals and Shifters will be all fixed to the Traction loss frame.

Ill be using and waiting on most things to arrive.

    3 of these Worm Drive Motor 12V 200W, 180 RPM, 20Nm Torque

1 1200w server supply with a couple of diode and caps to power three motor monsters with the stages on each ran in parallel.

The frame will be made out of 25mm RHS with a 2 mm wall.

A steering universal from a sprint car rated a 5000 kN under the seat

And a Lazy susan bearing rated at 200KG for the traction loose frame with the back end riding on roller blade wheels.

CAn any one think on any improvements. Most of the stuff is what i can get for free or already have but a few things have been ordered.

    Cheers

    Hi all.

I have been going over my build and it seems I haven't thought about pedal forces on my seat mover. The HE pro pedals require about 50kg for full scale on the brake. Has anyone had issues with the brake on high end pedals causing issue with their motors on a seat mover, and do you think my motors are big enough?

    Hi Troy,

I've just started looking into building a SIM - and I like your design! The 2DOF with traction loss sounds like it would be a great sim! (I'm hoping to do something similar)

I was hoping you could clear up for me, you're going to make it have 3 motors, 2 for the 2DOF, 1 for the traction loss (sway) and as well you're adding bass shakers? If so, how many are you planning to install and whats your approach for them?
