    I’m currently putting a 2dof rig together
Can anyone tell me if a fly back diode is going to be needed using ibt2 controllers ?
And if so how to install?
Are they needed between h bridge and psu ?
Or between motor and h bridge
From what I can find it looks like they go between h bridge and motor connecting motor leads with the fly back between
I’m using 24v psu and don’t want to use a battery on the circuit
I will be running a good amount of amps to drive the motors. Is this something I should be concerned about or not with ibt2 drivers wired as described

Fly back diodes are not normally used.

But be aware other members have reported running IBT2s at a full 24v can cause reliability issues, so many drop the voltage down a bit.

It is also worth testing IBT2s before use, as members have also reported faults with brand new IBT2 boards.
