    Hi guys,

My name is Neil and I have been into simracing for a couple of years. I have a racing seat and use simvibe but feel that motion would be the next step as I am a HTC Vive VR driver now.

I would like some advice about what to buy. Frex gp have SCN5 & SCN6 ranging from 20kg-60 kg and travel 100mm-200mm. I am looking at the SCN5 200mm 40 kg but any advice on which will perform the best would be great. Frex gp also sell a

Two SCN or HyperAXIS actuators directly connect to PC via USB.
Easy FREX style 2DOF motion simulator DIY by XSimulator software.
Also for a SimCon user who want to convert to XSimulator software. This is to control the traction loss I believe.

Is they anything I have missed ? will this allow me to pretty much plug and play ?

I should be able to build a base from 80/20 tubing but again any help with that would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance :)
P.S sorry I could not provide any links as I have to post 3 times before I can.

You can convert a Frex rig for use with SimT0ols: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/how-to-convert-your-frex-scm-to-simtools-updated.1412/

Motion profiles will need to be set up for each game: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

What drive system you decide to use is up to you, but DC wormdrive motors are popular for traction loss rigs as they are much cheaper than SCNs, quieter (SCNs are very noisy https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/scn5-scn6-noise-levels.2589/ ) and more powerful.
