    1.8

Hi all,I have downloaded 1.8 and am using it with LFS and FS9.
Everything looks good and the only shortfall is my own single speed electric actuators! (soon to be pneumatic)
I have found that the FS dll plugin needs some more parameters like longitudinal acceleration to simulate take off roll acceleration and braking. The bank and x axis acceleration should be body not world oriented to produce proper roll acceleration. I would be happy to modify the plugin if needed with the correct offsets.
I have successfully programmed a couple of profiles for roll pitch yaw and heave which apart from the earlier mentioned shortfalls work really well.
Cant wait to put all four on one program!

    FS Plugin

    Hello sirnoname
according to the fsuipc sdk the offset is 3070

    And the description is:
Z (longitudinal, or forward/backward) acceleration in ft/sec/sec relative to the body axes (see Note at end of table). This is in double floating point format (FLOAT64). [FS2000 and later]

The other one as far as roll is concerned I have to do a bit more research

    Thanks

    Hi sirnoname
it looks like 31c0, 31c8, are related to world axis and 3070 etc are related to body axis. I am yet not sure how this affects it, but if I had the source code I could experiment. Where abouts in the forumis it (my German reading ability limits me here!)

    Thanks.

Sorry Sirnoname, I havent had a chance to try yet, morning over here and at work!
    I have VB 6 and c++
My programming ability is such that I can modify but not write from scratch.
There is a program called FS interogate that can look at all the offsets and produce a data stream. The 3070 will be good but I just want to see what offsets are set for bank and x-accel because they appear to be world orietated rather than body (all start at 0 degrees roll)
Thanks for your help Sirnoname, you are a legend!
Once this plugin is running properly we should be able to attain a sim that has multiple axis accuracy and feel.

    FS plugin

    Hello again Sirnoname,
I have tested the FS dll and 3070 works good!
I have been looking at the roll data on FS interogate and it is really hard to decide what would work best, I think (in addition to bank) as in unused effects we need 3080 and 30B0 roll acceleration and roll velocity
To be honest I dont think these are appropriate for the open cockpit sim but for a fully enclosed sim the movement will be felt on roll movement rather than angle in space and be more accurate to the feel of roll.I guess we can only try.
    Thanks
