I am considering the Geko motion seat.

Unfortunately, the set up doesn't have a plug-in for IL-2 Sturmovik, the WWII flight combat series. Does anyone have experience with the Geko's Gseat software?

How easy is it to create a profile?

The latest versions of IL-2, such as Battle of Stalingrad, have closed telemetry to prevent cheating. Can telemetry be taken from the joystick and rudder pedals instead to drive the chair?

I know prilad created an X-Sim plug-in for single player in Cliffs of Dover. Can such plug-ins be "translated" across motion control software suites?

Thanks for considering all my noobish questions.

    Thanks for the reply, Noorbeast.
Using XSim and the joystick plug-in is my fall back. Have you used the joystick plugin yourself? How does it prevent clipping? (Is that the right term for the actuator bumping into its stops and overextending?)

Last time I used the tools here I was trying to convert an ancient Rock n' Ride that used pneumatics. I've got some catch up to do. Thanks, Noorbeast.
