Many of you guys probably already know this, but good and inexpensive heavy gauge wire to connect up the motors usually isn't cheap. While hunting for sources I wondered about audiophile speaker wire. Those folks love super heavy gauge and especially copper.

In hunting around, the cheapest I could find it was at Amazon. You have to watch out, though - some vendors consider each conductor as part of the length so buying 10 feet of their speaker wire is just a 5 foot length of two conductor zip wire. Local audio stores should also have a selection.

Here is what I bought but it turns out they really did send me a 25 foot length of two conductor cable so I overbought, but it didn't hurt too bad. It was $19.99. They have 10 foot lengths for half that price.

It's very soft and supple but is 10 gauge AWG copper and very nice. Other gauges available too.

Old post, but of course searching for cabling info and came across this and it seems appropriate to reply here; thanks again @Zed for another push forward!!!:

A possible alternative may be using "jumpstart" or "booster" cables...search amaz/other for "10 gauge booster" many matches that may have faster delivery depending on where you're at.

Solar PV cable 10 gauge may be sourced for very cheap, say USD, 20cents/foot retail but in huge bulk, so not even linking, just came across huge bulk and laughed
***EDIT*** really not that huge of bulk, $100 min order...

While focused on getting up and running leightweight..always do a quick search or two regarding $$$, and since this yielded results that may benefit some others, posting. Again, credit to @Zed for original post...no spell checking or grammar here, back to ordering
