I am planning to build a full Surge/TL platform through eracing lab. Unfortunately they do not provide the aluminum profile for the Surge/TL that will hold my sim chassis. I can't seem to find any information on schematics, how you actually build these things or where I should be sourcing the parts from.

Has anyone here already done this? I'm going to mount a advanced sim racing ASR 4 chassis on top.

    Thanks!

Will the manufacturers not provide basic dimensions for their products?

Hi I am also in the same boat. I am total newbie to motion rigs. I am planning on building a Track Racer 120 with an e-racing RS Mega+. I want to add traction loss in the future. When I reached out to e-racing, took like 2-3x to get a response. They said I have to build my own and would send photos. I never got any. I need help too. I am a jack of all trades. I just need some instructions or at least a good idea how to mount that TL actuator. I get the pivot part in the front. Just not the actuator at the bottom.

The closest thing I can get to seeing a build is if you use the following keywords in YouTube "rs solo - traction loss kit" you will find some videos from a channel Kawasaki Ninja. I can eyeball building a platform. I am not confident how to mount the TL actuator though. The video that shows it attached it blocked by a surge actuator.

The best approach, for DIY additions, it to have a dedicated build thread that covers your specific aims, rig dimensions and ideas, that way members have some basis to provide responses.

You can use the Enhanced by Google search function on the Recent page, the filter by date to find the losest and/or most recent examples of how TL has been implemented by other members: https://xsimulator.net/community/find-new/posts?recent=1

All I can suggest is that we encourage commercial entities to work with and support DIY members who are incorporating and extending their products, often in ways that others may consider, which is a commercial bonus. If they choose not to then consumers have choices, and should exercise them.

I just wanted to add I'm also a canadian resident so I'm wondering if there's any other fellow canadians here who have any recommended vendors for sourcing the aluminum. For my particular case, I think ASR-4 uses Aluminum profile 50" x 4.5" x 1.5". So ideally I think I want t-slotted extrusion for the underlying base for the TL/Surge? I may reach out to advanced sim racing themselves if they have suggestions.
