    Hi,

I cant figure out how to get lateral G-Forces out of my car games.

Example when turning right on a race track with grip, the seat should lean left.

I'm building a 6DoF platform and simulating the movement with HexPod but can't find how to integrate that essential force.

In a perfect simulation , initiating a hard right would have a sway/slide right, combined with a roll left.

    Thanks

I think it could be a little different for my situation as I have the HexPod integration.

Normally I imagine for the sway axis you'd integrate a roll component with a sway motion.

With HexPod I only pick up the sway component, but the roll seemingly cant be integrated.

Yes, that would require two sways in Simtools (I have talked about this often before), the use of software that has this mixing capability Eg. BFF, or even better a G Seat .

I worked it out. I kept getting stuck on the Dirt4 bug which stops surge and sway data coming through but now it’s all working.

With HexPod integration I just added a Sway to Axis 1a along side roll.
Then set graphics in the game to ultra and the surge & sway data started coming thru again.

I recommend everyone take a look at the HexPod plugin as it’s a great visualisation tool for setting up new platforms and testing actuator limits. And I’m told has Inverse Kinematics but I don’t know the functional difference with that until I jump on my platform (when built) and test.
