    Hello all,

I am building a PC to control both my games and the motion base. (About to pull the trigger on a simXperience Stage 4 rig.) I know people say that four cores is recommended, but would six cores be beneficial in any way? Or just a waste of money?

    Thanks!

Depends on preferred CPU, a fat dual core would be enough depending on game and graphics settings. The higher the graphics, the higher the cpu load. 4 cores is sufficient, 6 is never overkill ;D . I run an AMD 965 quad core and it works just fine on one pc for sim control and game.

Gday mate, I run an AM3 x6 here and it flys but not alot of games really use the full potential of the x6 yet. I still run my profiler on an old single core 1.7Ghz laptop, make profile building alot easier, plus i can change values on the fly plus check maths graph for unwanted spikes.
Beware the stage 4 is expensive compared to what it will cost ya to source the parts and build ya own frame, but got to give credit they are a nice looking rig, just costly for what ya get. Troll around here ya will find all the info on how to build ya own, more fun.
