    hi,
So I am trying to plan out my sim design for iracing and I am split between going to build a full motion platform or just a seat mover any suggestions because I feel like the seat mover would be disorienting with vr

also I would like to use these motors are they good enough ?
They are geared motors with 85rpm
    250w
    21.5 n
    Brushed

If you anticipate a future upgrade the I would suggest motors and controllers that would be suitable, like the @Thanos controller and servo motors: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/amc-aasd15a-servo-controller.351/

Alternatively you could choose hardware that may be cheaper but serve a recyclable simple future use, like using the motors and controllers of a 2DOF for a telemetry driven harness in some future 6DOF rig: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/harness-tensioner-simulation.361/

Write exactly what you want to build, only then can a correct answer be given
    - 2DOF or more
    - racing or flighsim
    - Are you aware that cheap motors like the one you showed have a noticeable gear backlash, of course you can have great fun on DOF with such motors
