I need your help with my new rig!!! DOF Reality H3 & Forza M7

    Hello everyone, I posted this in one of the other forums but figured it would be better in its own thread.

    Gentlemen, (if there are any ladies on this forum, please forgive me) I just finished building a DOF Reality 3 axis rig (Igor has really put together a fabulous piece!) For the past week I have been trying to get the motion rig to work with Forza Motorsport 7. It was suggested that I download Live for Speed. At first, LFS was not working but somehow after trying everything I could think of, I got it working. Unfortunately, I tried so many things that I'm not sure what the fix was. I am incredibly stoked that I got LFS to work with the motion rig. But, with all due respect to the developers of LFS, I'm ready to play Forza M7 with my rig!


    Unfortunately my rig is at my shop where I don't have a router, I use my iPhone hotspot in order to go online. I’ve read several threads pertaining to Forza M7 and it seems very promising. I saw the post by bvillersjr where he mentions using Sim Commander and I also watched all 33 minutes of paulopsx2's video. I’d be willing to pistol whip my puppy in order to understand Portuguese! His video seems incredibly informative and the Sim Commander software looks powerful.


    It doesn't seem as if I'm forced to have an Internet connection via a router in order to get my rig to work with Forza? Am I correct? I am currently using the latest version of SimTool, I've patched the game and installed the latest plugin for Forza M7. Is an internet connection with a router absolutely necessary? I read that Forza does not support localhost, does that mean that the game sends out data (online) and receives data in return that must be directed to the motion rig? Do I need to get Sim Commander? Both myself and my puppy would deeply appreciate your help.

    Thank you, I saw that but the reason I was asking was I read some other users eluded to having done it without a router. So is the general consensus that I absolutely need to be on a network that I can create a pin hole on?
    one more question, is this a Forza only problem, does Pcars or Asetto Corsa also have this issue?

    Most I have seen mod the router, as per the plugin instructions, if anyone has managed it another way then they would have to advise you.

    No you won't have the same issue with AC or Pcars, just install their plugins, patch the game for motion, then create and refine a motion profile for each of them
