    Any of you guys notice if you open task manager that f12010 only uses 4 cores.

    It does not even use the 8 hyperthreading. WHY!!! I have 60fps but it drops to 58 in certain track corners. They can utilise this and get optimum performance. Save people buying into SLI.

    I have i7920 aswell overclocked to 4.1ghz. Do proccessor & gtx480.

    - <hardware_settings_config version=46>
    - <cpu>
    <threadStrategy parallelUpdateRender=true workerMapFile=system/workerMap4Core.xml forceFeedbackProcessor=3 dvdStorageProcessor=3 dataSetMonitorProcessor=1 renderProcessor=0 updateProcessor=2 fileStreamProcessor=3 />
    </cpu>
    - <audio_card>
    <audio mixing=software reverbs=4 voices=100 />
    </audio_card>
    - <graphics_card>
    <directx forcedx9=false />
    - <resolution width=1920 height=1080 aspect=normal fullscreen=true vsync=1 multisampling=8xqcsaa oldWidth=800 oldHeight=600>
    <refreshRate rate=60 />
    </resolution>

    Does yours say workermap8core.xml in your hardware_config:

    Did you have to change anything. I just got the game and did not change the hardware_config. DX11 it selected it self. I also looked ined windows task manager under resource manager and it said Parked under about 3 cpu's.

    I've disabled cpu parking and now cores are ALL being used but it doesnt improve perfomance it just spreads the load evenly across all cores.

    Sirnoname do you play with 1920x1080p res and also do you have everything on full including Post Processing?

    f14cores.jpg

    I've tried and changed in the hardware_config. I changed the writing workermap4core.xml to workermap8core.xml. I even renamed workermap8 to workermap4.xml but task manager shows that 4 cpu's working hard. As you can see in the picture there is little movement on the other cpu's. Would be nice to see what your task manager shows :) so I can get jelous.

    And then I took the print screen. ALWAYS CPU 1, 3, 5 & 7 work hard. The others stay nothing or low.

    I've edited this post like 5 million times but my rig is 4.1ghz i7 920do, gtx480, rampage 3 extreme board, with 6gig of ram and cannot get even past 60 frames with v sync off. 60 is good with vsnc on but i can't accept 3 frame drop on certain corners.

    Many Thanks.
