    Hi Stefano,

    I used to use simple potentiometers inside the support casters of the joyrider, that was fixed with double side sticky paper.

    But lately I used linear hall effect sensors (SS495) ans a piece of neodymium magnet inside those support casters, to be able to measure the rotation of the frames contactless. See this link for details:
