    Is it possible within 1.3 (Or upcoming 2.0) when I "turn on" my rig, that instead of snapping violently to the base position, it transitions slower?

    I was asking the same question some time ago, and it does not seem to be possible, at least with 1.3.

    What you can do is keeping your motors powered, so that they don't backdrive when you are switching between games. I don't know if this helps in your case, but for me it was helpful.

    The problem is not after I have the sim running, as I have the JRK's setup to hold position as long as they are powered (Thanks Nick) The problem is on initial startup only.

    Yes, I understand. I would also prefer that my rig would slowly move to its neutral position when I turn on the power. Up to now I did not find a solution.

    SimTools has no idea of where you sim is when it starts up.
    Your interface does thou, so this feature should be built into the interface.
    Or you can turn on the sim and not sit in it until it centers.
    I hope this makes sense guy's as I'm a bit under the weather.

    Yes, I am powering my rig before sitting down, because my motors have a really low holding torque and snap into their neutral position when powered. In addition, I manually move the seat as close as possible to this neutral position before turning on the power, so that this snapping movement is minimized.

    Could you use the start up command in simtools to do what you want?
    l don't know the jrk motor commands but it would go something like this.
    1. set max speed(pwm max) to half speed.
    2 move to half position.
    2a. you may need a delay to allow the motors to reach position.
    3 set max speed(pwm max) to full speed, this may not be 100% but to whatever pwm max you desire.

    Shutdown could be the opposite allowing the motors to gently lower and then shutdown.

    This could also be done for SMC controller but because the source code is available, it could be written in code and then using say a init command to go gentility middle position.
