    Hi Paul,

well, theoretically every game is supported. But as there are not enough people who are using the X-Sim Software currently, there is not much motivation to make plugins for each and every game.

If there will be more people using the X-Sim software actively (with DIY simulators, or virtual/hardware gauges), we'll think about support for i-racing for sure.
Or give it a try on your own.

To be honest, I dont know I-racing even. Heard about it, but never played on my own.

Perhaps we will get more active members when the SCN5 acutators are supported soon :D

    Regards
    Christian

Iracing isn't supported from frex yet too! I seen many people asking for such support in RaceSimCentral...

I guess that's because this simulator is for subscribers only. That means you have pay it per year as service to be able to play!!!! LOL

Well, here's one new member that would like iRacing support :D And netKar Pro while we're at it :D

Those are the two sims I think are the cream of the crop. netKar Pro has quite hardcore followers, the few that there are :p So I would imagine a lot of people would like it being supported too.

I only know of netKar Pro that can work with AIM. But I wouldn't say AIM supports NKP. I think it's more like NKP is made to be compatible with AIM. I'm no fully sure what you mean so I'm trying to answer as accurately as I can.

If needed, I might be able to get you to talk with a member of the NKP dev team or maybe even the main dev, Stefano Casillo himself.

I will speak to the dev team member as soon as possible. I also know that the next NKP update will have plugin support, but... it is unclear if there will be any kind of devkit or other info at this point on how to make a plugin for it. Not sure if this matters, but I thought I'd mention it.

I would love to beta test :) I don't have any hardware to test yet but I am very interested in the virtual gauges and plan to create a virtual dashboard using 7 monitor. Also I plan to have leds, 7-, 14, 16-segment displays and maybe a LCD too installed to my cockpit, but haven't really figured out all the hardware required.

    Yes, I thought so.
    Ah yes, that's cool :)
I have looked at some LCDs and communities, mainly LCDStudio. But I really would like to have leds and 7/14/16-segment displays instead. But LCD would be easier, I know.

As for the monitor... Yeah, an old 15 is probably the cheapest way, but it's hard to mount relatively close behind the steering wheel :p

And thanks for the tips :)

it must be the latest build of the i-racing software cause he has said he was going to release it shortly and everyone must be updated to race online. do you think once i-racing is supported by x-sim it will have to be updated with each patch like the frex systems?

sirnoname, our scn5 with x-sim will move just as fast right? the frex moves really good with i-racing, no apparent lag. also, how long until we can test these scn5 actuators with the x-sim 2 build? just wondering if i should purchase them and start working on my cockpit. also, it will be the same speed with either a usb interface or serial? i only have usb inputs on my motherboard but i don't want to loose speed cause of it, was that just a mistake between usb 1.0 and 2.0? thanks

thanks for the answers sirnoname, sorry for asking in the wrong section. back to the i-racing version question, when i look in the folders of i-racing there are a couple sections that have a text document the says version and inside they say version 2008.11.10.2 if this is not right, where would i find the info that you need? when you go on the website it doesn't give you a version number or anything like that but i'm sure i'm not understanding you right? can you elaborate a little more on the info you're looking for? i'll try and help you find whatever you need

every major update from i-racing comes at the end of each 12 week season so this is the version that frex is using for the motion, we're in week 3 of this current season so we have 9 weeks to go till the next major update. also, we don't have any opportunities to get any beta versions from i-racing, when they are ready they just release the next update for the masses and we're prompted to download it and thats it. every now and then they release minor updates to the software to fix and tweak certain things but major updates always come at the end of the 12 weeks.

in order to race you have to be updated to the latest version of the i-racing software and 2008.11.10.2 is it, so frex and everyone else is on that version.

one thing i want to mention also, there is another simulator called bluetiger which can be seen at bluetiger.com and there is a guy on iRacing's forums that is going to be selling these, he is in talks with bluetiger and iRacing to get the simulator supported in the future. according to the guy on the iRacing forums, he's talked with the lead programmer from iRacing, Dave Kaemmer and he has said that once everything is built into the sim they will work on getting simulators supported. he said that they will even help work on the software to make sure that your motion simulator will be supported through updates and everything if you give them the info they need for your simulator.

what i mean by this is that frex is doing this without the help of i-racing as they still are not supporting motion simulator's at this time. the data is there we're just gonna need to find it. however since i-racing is using the gpl/n2k3 engine there might be some guys on here that know where to look to find the g-force data. this must mean that frex isn't getting any help from i-racing so he must be on the same version as everyone else to run the simulator

sirnoname, when i load the simforcegt sample config and get a load dialog box with

math dialog tables of all axis
universal serial output formula of each axis
    synaptrix of all axis

    program settings (task settings, timings)

all these options are checked so i hit accept and i get an exchange dialog window saying on or more interface inputs could not be found and give me the name of the missing port: SCN5 actuator SN: A2000302

select the port you would like to use instead: no options to choose from

    two options from here
exchange this port and all the same name and quit program, what do i do?
