Question is it possible to adjust the gamma of an axis.

    My Motion Simulator:

    I have surge platform and what to be able to adjust the speed of the actuator as it get to max travel. Currently when I brake the platform moves forward Depending on how hard I brake, the problem is when it get to max braking the platform moves forwards and stops quite hard, I would like the actuator to slow down and gradually reach max value.
    Is this possible to do in simtools?

    I'd welcome that feature. Especially running gamma on the same axis in both directions independently. Ie. Allow for a slower surge back be quicker surge forward (braking)

    You can somewhat do that by manually setting different Min/Max values in the Tuning Center, while it is a global effect it works pretty well for surge, it is traditionally used to simulate the gearshift effect: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/snappy-gear-change-motion.121/

    I do that now. I think gamma could add some additional tuning performance, without using a boundary setting. E.g. bumps, surge.
    I like using the full axis for braking but not have the seat go so far back during acceleration. Gamma could help. I couldn't figure out how to do this with axis 1 and 2 since tuning options seem to only allow for axis 1.

    I tried with anti roll enabled for surge and it sort of works but instead of stopping at the end of the stroke it reverses the direction. It would be nice to be able to stop when it gets to max and not reverse.

    What if you made the force artificially "longer" in tuning center so the game data stops right before the return happens at the end of the stroke?

    The issue with larger values in the tubing center then create a slower reaction on surge because it's linear.

    Usually, but since he's using anti-rollover in this case, where we usually don't, it'll still be using the whole game data on the whole axis. It'll just never get past the halfway point of anti-rollover.
