You need to run Sketchup once to create the directory structure and I have altered the tutorial to note that.

After you run Sketchup once the folder will be created here: C:\Users\Your_User_Name\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\SketchUp\Plugins

I checked again this morning and did an install and config for the 32bit version of Sketchup 2016 and can assure you it does work.

Let us know if you have any issues.

Just a tip, if you want to ensure a member sees a post then add their user name like this @noorbeast, that way they get an automated notification: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/tag-a-member.73/

SketchyPhysics is meant to have a black dos screen when it is running. That means it is working.

I think you mean you can't see the SketchyPhysics control tools, which are free floating when first installed. You can get them back by checking the appropriate boxes by going to the menu View -> Toolbars. I drag the floating toolbars and dock them at the top of Sketchup, like this:

Different version, just use SimTools to directly control the model.

Just scale down the window and move it out of the way, then use SimTools to control the model directly.

That is the wrong path for SketchyPhysics files, as per the instructions it is the SketchUp Plugin folder C:\Users\Your_User_Name\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\SketchUp\Plugins

    Follow the instructions here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/how-to-animate-sketchup-3d-model-with-simtools.209/

You need to be a bit more specific, does the default model included with the instructions run with the settings as pictured in the instructions? You turn on SketchyPhysics and the use Output testing to check.

I had put this in a PM but am reproducing it here for the benefit of others. You are making this harder than it has to be @marc79 by not using the instructions, pre-configured model and settings provided in the FAQ tutorial: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/how-to-animate-sketchup-3d-model-with-simtools.209/

Though you are close my suggestion is that you delete the Sketchup folder: C:\Users\Your_User_Name\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp

Run Sketchup once, which will recreate that folder. Then use the pre-configured SketchyPhysics files, model and settings in the tutorial.

It is also very important to follow the instructions, it is a bit hard to see in the video but it looks like you have added quotation marks around the Interface Output declarations, when it should be like this:

You can fiddle with things after you have a working SimTools/SketchUp environment.
