    Hello All,

So I recently replaced my worm gearbox to a 60:1 ratio from a 50:1 ratio. Bought it from Motion Dynamics. My old gearbox had plastic gears that broke. I’m running the JRK G2 18v19 with a 12v 180w motor paired with a 12v 400w PSU. I was able to run the 50:1 without any issues but now with the 60:1, I get a motor running at max duty cycle when adding additional pressure like hitting the brakes. Moves fine when I’m just sitting on it. Do I need a bigger motor? I’ve seen builds with the same motor and gearbox work just fine like Noorbeast’s build.

That sounds like something may be binding.

Do the 60:1s rotate properly if hooked up directly to a 12v PSU, with the rods to the rig disconnected?

My 200w motors have driven my 60:1s for many years.

Just tested directly to the 12v PSU and it spins perfectly fine. No binding whatsoever.
