The latest Live for Speed update, 0.6K, includes a laser scanned recreation of Rockingham race track (needs S3 license to unlock), AI improvements, support for the HTC Vive VR headset (in addition to the Oculus Rift), plus other fixes: https://www.lfs.net/news/978

LFS has just been updated to version 6M, with further refinements to the Rockingham track plus other fixes and improvements: https://www.lfs.net/patch-6m

For me the good news is support of the 0.8 Oculus runtime and the dev saying he has submitted LFS as a CV1 Rift launch title, though has not yet had confirmation from Oculus. That means LFS will use the CV1 runtime and continue to be at the forefront of VR support.

In fact LFS is continuing to expand VR support as this update also introduces OpenVR SDK 0.9.15 integration. OpenVR is a cross-platform VR API that supports multiple HMD vendors simultaneously: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenVR

As seems to be the norm LFS is leading the all in VR implementation race, with experimental support for the just released Oculus 1.3 runtime: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/4cfidv/live_for_speed_experimental_oculus_13_support/

If you have successfully installed the 1.3 software, please try this:

    0) In your Rift settings, enable Unknown Sources

    1) Make sure you have the latest Live for Speed(version 0.6N)

    2) Open the ZIP file from either of the forum posts linked below

    3) Open your LFS\dll folder to find LFSRiftVR.dll (rename it for backup)

    4) Save the test LFSRiftVR.dll into that folder

    5) Run LFS and try enter VR mode (Options... View... 3D)
