It would appear that the login timeout value has been reduced. THIS IS EXTREMELY IRRITATING! I keep losing my posts when I type a long one with alot of detail in it. It makes me not want to post at all!

When you know your post will be long, especially with instructions and such, write it in wordpad then copy-paste in the forum. :)

    @Martin

Scince when your mobile phones fails the login? The session time can´t be the reason for that.

Does it fail to log in everytime or only when you are logged out during writing a post?

    regards, René

    Hi Martin,

does the error still occur? You log in with your mobile phone (windows mobile 6 ???), than the redirect is forwarding to a blank page? Could be, that your mobile browser doesn´t understand javascript! Nevertheless you should be logged in, when you reload the page with the browsers refresh button. Can you verify that, or are you still logged out, when you try it?

I changed the way of forwarding, so i hope its done!

    regards
    René

 I want to destroy my keyboard each time !!

I am also having this issue which occurs pretty much each day and most of the time at night ... There is something going wrong...

When the issue occurs, I can

    - Login, then when I returned to the Index I am not logged anymore ...

    - Login then enter in a post, try to reply, when I click submit it returns me to the login page ...

no 10min timout here but more 5 secondes...

I have also noticed a lot of instabillity on the web site resulting most of the time by a web site error (Appache or php error related if I remember correctly)

    Hi Bleco,

please try to delete all board cookies.
    ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies

Than try the remember me function and do not log out when you leave x-sim.
Please tell me if the logout error disappear after that.

    Which Browser you use?

What kind of apache error you get? Please send me a screenshot next time.

    Thank you.

    Hi Bleco, thanks!

the general sql error is a sign that we have to change our server for a bigger one in the next time. The current one needs more capacities, it is limited in some memory issues.

The error occurs because there are more visitors at the same time than allowed mysql database instances.

We have to watch the errror!

Did you get the fatal error everytime when you are logged out and kicked? How often you´ll get the error?

I never recognice the same error you mentioned, only a smililar error at the main page in the recent posts box!

    Regard René

    Hi René,

good thing that x-sim is getting more popular...

I am not necessarily logged on when getting the fatal error. But when this occurs, I know I am going to get the timout issues if I logon.

It happens pretty much each day but seems to occur more at night for me (+-11PM Eastern time)

    Hope it helped

    ***EDIT Oct 5 2PM Estearn time ***
I have just got the error again after refreshing the page but was able to logon and edit this post after a second refresh.

Try to open a maximum of two x-sim browser windows to reduce the connects to the database for testing purposes. At the beginning i often got a socket error, but now i only open x-simulator.de for a maximum of two at the same time and everything seems to be fine.

Probably as long as we stay with the current server i cannot fix that issue completely :(
