    Hey spit,

I fly dcs and bms quite a bit. I had the cv1 but sold it since i wasnt a big fan of the sacrifice in resolution, etc. Would you recommend this rig for avid flight simming with trackir?

    Thanks

I think probably not, for 3 reasons.
    1. I presume you'd want your screen(s) mounted to the rig, and i'm fairly sure they say it isn't designed for that weight on the front
    2. I think without VR you'd want a 6dof for realistic feel (generally the view is that flightsim needs 6dof, but i'm hopeful that this kind of platform works in the more immersive world of VR, when properly tuned)
    3. Right now i think there are some issues with the tuning filters in simtools which are preventing me getting acceptable movement profiles.

Personally i'm shifting focus to building a g-seat until (3) is resolved and the VR motion compensation options become more reliable.

Using Dofreality with Rift + motion cancellation, but have been disappointed by reliability. Loss of sync with the controller mainly, despite multiple placement relocations. Also i'm having trouble isolating the bass shaker vibrations from the controller.

Definitely the problem comes from the vibrations of my bass shakers. Turning off the amp the problem disappears immediately.

@Radioproffi Do you think there is a possibility to change the motors of the platform for actuators? How difficult this could be?

Do you mean to change gear motors for linear actuators?

Following on from the last post,

Ive been using the DofReality 3Dof P3 rig for a few months now. Been tweeking and adjusting the rig until I have a good balance point.

Problem is because the rig is balanced now I can really feel the slop in the motor reduction gearbox.

Anybody any idea if there is a way of reducing the slop in the gearbox?

Alternative option would be replace with linear actuators. I'm imagining the linear actuator running horizontally with a bellcrack that converts the horizontal movement to vertical movement. I could also attach the feedback pot to the bellcrank giving the feedback needed (Im assuming that I wold still need that positional feedback.

    Any thoughts or suggestions.

    Andy

A slight weight bias on the motors will help with wormdrive free play.

So does having the smallest CTC on levers that still meets your performance goals, the bigger the CTC distance the now noticable the play in gearboxes.

Center To Center, the distance on the lever from the center of the motor shaft to the center of the hole where the rod joint bolts to the lever.

Hello, do you have any clients in Argentina, if possible in Buenos Aires? I would like if possible to see and test the product

Andrés, la principal duda que tengo es respecto al movimiento completo. Yo me armé un simulador casero 2dof donde se mueve solo la silla, al estilo simxperience, que tal funciona este respecto al otro?

Hi @Radioproffi your kit looks awesome!! I am very interested in purchasing it.

May I please ask how much the full kit will cost (and what does it come with)? I am also wondering if the kit comes in 3DOF? Appreciate your reply. Thanks!
