hi all. I've been scouting the forum looking at the SCN6 threads and figured out how to connect them via other peoples descriptions and diagrams. the trouble i am having is the 2 x boards. the type other people have used are different, so have i got the completely wrong item or are there adaptors that go into the com ports that i am missing. I can see absolutley no way of connecting to them.

    Cheers guys

I really wanted to get set up this weekend

Maybe also contact @Roadster2 as he is the only one that I have seen on this site using Hyperaxis 100s - good luck.

thanks @SeatTime. Yhis was the topic that got me into my Set-up. I have bean dealing with @Roadster2 and he is trying to get the last bit of information. I know how to connect it up all except for 4 wires. These are the wires that go into the 485 board. I have ordered 5 female ended DB9 cables that i am going to cut one end off and connect to the actuator. i just want to make sure i connect the right wires as one of the scn6 diagrams uses an RS232-RS 485 converter so just want to check.

Sorry @nclabs. did you mean the multi ports on the rs232-485 pictured above or were you referring to the main 485 board in the thumbnail in first post. Any reason why to avoid as i have the board and the converters will be here today or tomorrow.

The last one you posted it's good I think, I was referring to the first one you posted. Anyway, if you need to drive 5 actuators, you will need 5 of those converters.

That kind of converter is about RS232 to RS485, but you will need another 5 converters from RS232 to USB. I would prefear a converter from USB to RS485 directly

I Have got 5 of those converters so all good there. From speaking with @mrt on his post he has used the same board with no issues so will see how it goes for now before ordering more parts. I didnt so much as want the converter itself, i just wanted the plug board but couldnt find them on there own. Ill keep you posted.
