    Hi all,

I am working on adding yaw/traction loss to my sim, but I am wondering: what is the minimum angle to obtain a noticeable effect? Could +/- 10 degrees be enough?

    Thanks!

That could work, in my view it is important the motion is fast and accurate.

My idea is to let the u-joint rotate on the vertical axis, the extent would be limited to the excursion allowed by the two ball joints which is around, as stated, +-10 degrees... I hope the ball joints won't pop out though... I might have to add a mechanical endstop...

That is yaw not traction loss and binding sounds like a real risk with that sort of limited implementation.

Yes, you are right, after thinking about it last night I decided I have to go for something more traditional and less creative...
