    My Motion Simulator:
    4DOF
    Hi all,

I am planning to build 500mm actuators based on the SFX100 model. I will be using thanos4U controller and SRS. From that angle, I am covered. Unfortunately I don't have access to 100x100 extrusion profiles (+ those you find are incredible of price)

So I have been redesigning the lay out to the picture below

The profile would be a 30x90 profile (grey box here). The motor is attached to a PETG holder (bottom is also PETG) The ballnut is being guided by 2 threaded bars of 10mm each. I attached the "piston" to the bracket on the actual ballscrew , which is a 1605 500mm version.

So my main question, do you see issues with strength in this design or is it a "you can try this" type of thing. I am looking to build a 4DOF rig similar to the SFX-100 models out there. The load will be more limited as I will be using VR, so only a few controllers, no screens and a chair.

    Kind regards

    Steve
