    Hello everyone ;)
I took a bit of time to build this other sim (about 3 months in his spare time)
after I sold the other (only sruttura and electronics) I have left the G27 the
seat and seat belts ... for other things I bought back again.
My new sim is more or less built the foundations of the old one as
the lower structure cooling system electronic engines ....
I used wiper motors once again and I have to say
despite the extra weight ... they do their job egreggiamente and after 2 hours
of the race I noticed that the engines are pretty cool !! this means
that the cooling system works very well ... clearly I
also had to balance well the total weight !!!

    20141102_125328.jpg

This time, I cared too much aesthetics and tried to take care of even the smallest details.
Adhesives and lighting special effects and so on. wanted them to my son who is
amused to attack them everywhere :grin

    20141102_133119.jpg

This time I installed the TV that moves with the upper structure
(Much better screen fixed) and the bracket adjustable in depth, height
I will modify the slope and then for a triple monitor.

    20141102_125343.jpg

    I used square tubular
    60x60x3
    40x40x3
    30x30x3
    25x25x3
    and 20x20x3

Compared to before I used 2mm tube that is more robust.

    20141101_181803.jpg

I added a 5.1 audio system and subwoofer and placed under
and some good vibrations to the structure as well as a fantastic sound

I used cooling fans 120x120 1200 rpm for electronics
and fans 80x80 2000 rpm for cooling the engines

If you have any questions please reply as soon as you can

I'll reserve a post for upgrades that I'm going to add as every time I create something

    The next upgrade include:
    Sequential shift lever (already done)
    Handbrake
Triple screen 22 inches or 24
    Monitor 7-inch
Substitution of the seat and seat belts

Future upgrades for next summer (if I have time and money to spend) include:
    4 DOF
    replacement of

Adding a slide under the seat replacing the original binary engine
to simulate the acceleration and braking

Adding the motor to simulate the loss of grip + underlying structure

    videos ;)

I also placed an old monitor that I use as a dashboard 7 "touchscreen that I had ... I cut an aluminum box and plugged the monitor attached and the carbon film. I am using a software called SIM monitors unfortunately has a few skins and creating animated gifs with photoshop ..... but I do not know .... I will create them an accelerated course :)

Or if one of you knows how to create them in photoshop or use sim monitor and the skins and want to share anything better :thumbs

    @noorbeast
It is a pleasure, if you need more info are here. ;)
From your avatar, I assume you are using oculus rift? because I thought that instead of buying a triple monitor on my sim, I read that by ordering in the US would cost me around 380 euro DK2, it would also be an affordable price ... I wanted to ask a few questions before ordering: the resolution and good? and compatible with all games? me advice instead of triple flatscreen? :sos

    Thanks in advance

The Rift is a real immersive experience @-kevin- but is still a development device.

Resolution has improved but is not yet at a comparable status with a monitor. Game comparability is limited and not consistent yet, and won't be until the Rift is mainstream.

I guess what I am saying is that the DK2 Rift is really best considered for its strengths, which is to make you feel like you are really in the game. There are some good racing and flight sim DK2 implementations but none of them are perfect, it is a leaning time for game developers as much as it is about developing the Rift itself.

If you want crisp visual graphics for all games then go for the triple screens. If you want to be at the cutting edge of virtual reality, which has some short comings and limited game coverage but is a whole new experience, then consider the Rift. Keep in mind that the current DK2 will be superseded by the early release consumer Rift in the first quarter next year, so you may want to hold off for that.

Very clear answer, thanks @noorbeast !:thumbs
Surely the immersion in the game is the ultimate driving simulator, flight etc. with respect to the monitor that even having a better resolution does not give the same effect that gives the virtual reality. For 80% are decided by the DK2 but before ordering my searches and I better document also because as I know absolutely nothing oculus rift .. However, your response to me has already made it very clear ideas ;)
