    Hello,

I really wish to buy Motiondynamics motors and forget all this hasle, but price doubles after i add shipping to EU and thats without customs and taxes, so i spend half day trying to find something similar:

24v 350W ~400rpm Scooter motor from eBay.co.uk, there is few geared variations with more or less power, it pushes ~3000rpm loaded with ~10:1 gears. I think if it is possible to run it with 12v it will go like ~175W and 150rpm after gearbox. Correct me if i am wrong please, is my calculation correct? Next day dispatch+combined shipping. Worth to think?

I know about ZYT90-199 option from http://www.motioncontrolproducts.co.uk, but have read somewhere that people have dificulties to run them with JRK's also MCP4 boxes that should go with these motors are weak. Can anyone comment that?

    Any other sugestions?

@eaorobbie you mentioned about some source that sells motors in EU, if it is still possible to find contacts somehow i would be more then Thankful :)

I can help here, http://www.ebay.ca/itm/GEAR-MOTOR-1...ILLCRAB-POT-PULLFEED-150160-rpm-/370915744975 heres what you need to find.
Yes you can use motioncontrol motors, but yes, the gearboxes can be a little tender as members have found out. But if they are not under a high load, like a full frame, they will survive. A seat mover is fine.
The ZYT90 -199 is going to be ok witha 10:1 box, but if you can look for something like the sawmill motor, you are going to get more torque and power with same speed.
No the 350watt motor is too big for a jrk. I tested a 320 watt motor on a jrk and the spikes it reaches were too high and to get decent motion, it has to be set high.

@kurgine this motor may work except to run it properly you would require 24v's the problem arises when used on 12v the speed(rpm) will more than half so will the output torque, I would find a better suited motor to a 12v system or you will have to use an Ard code with a 24v H Bridge not that easy to setup and maintain as a Jrk system but would work. Not sure but feel 3000rpm will be very hard for the controller to control, not confident the Ard would process it quick enough to be effective.

Another option, a little expensive but nice gearbox. Speed is a little limited as its only 23rpm a wee bit slow , big lever on it would compensate that.

Another option that would work too, not as powerful but quiet a few people have go them to run nicely at 50 rpm , still not as quick as 150-180rpm and not enough torque to run a bigger than 50mm ctc lever.

This would be a better choice like the one you have shown.

Thanks for your answers @eaorobbie. I looked at the choices but still like MotionDynamic's better :)

23rpm with big lever i am afraid will be not so precise in small movements.
Second one is not much different from wiper motors i have.
And last one i saw it on ebay, but could not find any EU suplier for them. Shipping from Asia is even worse then America.

I will try to go with @bsft eBay sugestion or MotionDynamics and i hope with David's help i will get them here.

Looks good, there is a large choice there. You may have to buy some and give them a run.

    Great find!
Please share the info you gather, the cost and posibility of sending international. I would be interested, since it's from Poland, I'm thinking that shipping to Croatia wouldn't be that costly.

Got answer to my questions from Magma(support amazingly fast). They will send anywhere to EU, but no PayPal or Credit card payment accepted, only bank transfer.

Too weak, if im reading right 0.96NM
    http://www.magmapolska.pl/7712myz-150w-200w-12v-24v/
theses figures don't look correct but if they using a nylon gear and plastic decoupler between box and motor than the info correct. All seem a little weak at 0.6NM
If not too dear to purchase I would recommend testing one, in a seat mover situation they would be fine in full 2dof , I have doubts but been wrong before, only testing will tell.

They are similar to ZYT90-155 which are used by several people here and they are rated as 0.40 NM, and Zyt90 are rated 250W. These "Polish" ones are somewhat weaker in watts and slower in rpm, but somewhat stronger in newtons. I would ask for some more info about internals and a price, if it's acceptable with shipping, I'm gonna try it.

See many misinformation in their charts, like same 7712 motor in one chart has 0.6N in other 0.9N, Amps in every chart differs, rpm too. Like all China production: you never know until you try :)
I will order TIG pedal from them as i never saw it SO cheap, price difference is like 3-4 motors with gearboxes :) So i could say it almost free to try for me :)

@prodigy and @kurgine its worth a go , have not physically tested the units I have but after several builds with all types of DC motors these are pretty close to what is spec, very simular unit priced almost 1/2 the cost in the UK, was rated down near these but performs like mine can which is rated a lot higher and has been tested by others.
So worth a go with a test with one motor and if good or bad , we all have learnt something new.
Crossing me fingers it performs well.

Just to add to this topic, I also looked around europe to find some usefull motors for a cheaper price but after some time I just decided to buy what is recommended by some members on the forum here, to buy the wrong motors also cost money and a lot frustration if they are shit....... So i just bought the ebay crab mill motors from Canada, the 4 motors plus sending by airmail cost me
    $ 626 and € 116 tax .......
Yes living in Europe is expensive !!!!
The motors are very strong , I love them .....running on 65% they trow me around like crazy hahaha, i think they will last a long time too, so i dont regret buying them.
